Cultivate Generosity and Become Happy
Giving freely without expectation of a payoff (from the person you give to or from the cosmos or karmically) will build up your sense of goodness, worthiness and happiness - with a caveat: Never give in a way that depletes, devalues or demoralizes you. And remember to give to yourself.
The Generosity and Happiness Connection
Neuroscience studies reveal that generosity yields lasting benefits to your happiness. When you choose, you feel better about yourself and abut life not just when you give, but also in the long term. Each time you reflect on your generosity, you get a happiness boost. Generosity comes in many forms: a gift, spending time with someone, an act of service, a kind work, saying thank you. Kindness to yourself is also an expression of generosity, and taking good care of your body and mind is an act of generosity to yourself, others and the planet because when you are healthy and happy, you are better able to care for others. Generosity Practices for Happiness based on your personality type is a tool that helps you discover fun ways to practice generosity based on your personality type.

Mindfulness for Your Happiness
Mindfulness is a skill that you can develop through practice. This is why it is called "practicing mindfulness." There are many ways to practice mindfulness, and many benefits. Mindfulness is the gateway to compassion because it allows you to be aware of suffering and to understand what wise and loving action is. This is not easy, but it is possible, and happiness science as well as human experience tells us that mindfulness practice over time brings happiness.
Mindfulness for You
Mindfulness can be practiced in many ways. The right mindfulness practice for you may depend on your personality type and the situation in your life. We all have elements of being an introvert and an extrovert, a dreamer and a realist, a creative and analytical. Sometimes some of these personality types are stronger than others, and over life we change. Mindfulness practices that are best for you may be different than for others, and over the course of your life, you may find that some mindfulness practices that worked for you at one time do not, and others are more helpful to your peace of mind. Mindfulness Practices for Happiness Based on Your Personality Type gives you ideas for finding the mindfulness practice that is best for you.

The happiness mindfulness connection.
There are many ways to define mindfulness and there is no one "right" way. You do not need to live in a monastery or go to a retreat to practice mindfulness. This tool gives you Ideas for how to practice mindfulness in your everyday life. The reason mindfulness is often called practicing mindfulness is because when you practice you builds up your ability to be able to be present in everyday life and see things as they truly are in each moment. One way to define mindfulness is the ability to see things as they truly are; not as you wish them to be. When you see things as they are instead of as you would like, you can make better decisions for your own happiness, and for the happiness of others.

Mindfulness for Children
Children's Mindfulness Handbook contains fun ideas for practicing mindfulness with your children. Remember - never force a child - or anyone - to practice mindfulness. This is a kind of violence that gives you the opposite of what you want. The best way to teach a child is by doing it yourself in a way that is open, inviting and not attached to an outcome.

What is your path to happiness?
There are four paths to happiness: hedonism, eudiamonia, chaironic happiness and flow. Hedonism is the happiness that comes from pleasure, like eating, sleeping, and making love. Eudiamonia is the kind of happiness that comes from doing something that is meaningful, impactful and beneficial to you and others. Chaironic happiness comes from the spiritual journey. Flow happiness is when you are fully in tune with and present in the moment or with whatever you are doing. In truth, we experience all of these kinds of happiness over the course of our life, and true happiness comes from experiencing a balance of all these kinds of happiness. Learn how to identify your path to happiness, figure out when you have strayed off the path, and how to get back on it.
