Our Project: Planet Happiness
We bring the Happiness Movement to the Tourism Sector with our project, Planet Happiness. Launched in 2018. we are the first to bring the happiness movement to the tourism sector. Planet Happiness brings focus the attention on the well-being agenda for all tourism stakeholders, from tourist to host community members, tourism businesses to governmental and NGO agencies working for tourism. Our aim with Planet Happiness is to use tourism as a vehicle for development that demonstrably strengthens destination sustainability and the quality of life of host communities.
Grounded in a peer-reviewed approach (Musikanski, Rogers et al, 2019), Planet Happiness contribute to sustainable happiness in World Heritage Site and other tourism sites through awareness raising, happiness measurement, community-based action and win-win solutions for the happiness of people, wellbeing of communities, strength of heritable and and sustainability of ecosystems in tourism sites globally.
