Ginny SassamanGinny is a co-founder and President of GNHUSA. In 2011, she created the Happiness Paradigm Store and Experience, and began writing essays on cultivating personal and community well-being for the Happiness Paradigm blog. She has an M.S. in Mediation and a Certificate in Positive Psychology. She works as a meditation and positive psychology teacher, coach, and workshop leader. Formerly the Communications Director for the Women’s Legal Fund and Media Communications Director for Common Cause in Washington, DC, Ginny moved to Vermont in 2001. A creative spirit and entrepreneur with a strong interest in social justice, Ginny worked as a full-time watercolor artist for many years before becoming a mediator. She gave a keynote speech entitled “Personal Happiness: a Vital Component of a National Movement” at the 2014 national gross national happiness conference. She frequently delivers sermons in Unitarian Churches on the connections between personal happiness and a GNH paradigm.

I believe we need to merge our groups to create one strong movement, building national chapters, creating a strong positive force for change. I think our combined forces can be much more powerful and cohesive, more supported and supporting, and more joyful.
I believe we need to at least consider radically revising the domains to create a vision for evolving forward -- domains with spiritual and love aspirations as well as the more practical details of life of the current Bhutan-based domain.
